John Paul II Monument at night, Warsaw


It was unveiled on October 16, 1994, and was created by Italian sculptor Giorgio Galletti da Muggio. The monument is a gift from the parish of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Dozio Valgreghentino, located near Milan. The sculpture is the standing figure of the Pope, with his right hand raised toward the heavens, and the left holding a cross.
