A standard variety in many localities, especially in the Middle West and the South, and does very well in all sections. It grows to full size within 100 days from_seed and is very dependable on many soils and in different seasons and is the variety principally grown for Red Sets. Onions are large, flat in shape, with skin of a purplish- red color and flesh of a pink shade. Resists drought better than most onions.
