Boeng B-29 Superfortress, Duxford


Preserved Boeng B-29 Superfortress, It`s Hawg Wild, arrived at the Imperial War Museum Duxford Cambridgeshire England in February 1980 Built at Renton USA in 1944 and went straight into storage for 4 years. in1952 delivered to 371st Bombardment Sqn, 307th Bomb Wing at Kadena Air Base, participate in the Korean War. She was later stored for 30 years in China Lake before being returned to flying condition for a flight to UK. Sadly the pilot Skip Kreigier was involved in a fatal crash in Cessna 421 just 12 days after returning home to the USA.
