Ottawa. 299. ROGERS, BUELL SUMNER, physician and surgeon, Chicago, was born in Ripon, Wis., June 9, 1863. He is theson of Charles Franl^Un and Aral5clla (Barnum) Rogers. His education was received in the high school ofOshkosh, Wis., at Kipon College and at Rush Medical College, Chicago, from which he graduated in 1892. Hehas been major and surgeon of the I. N. G. from June, 1901, to the present date, and is a member of the medicalreserve corps if the V. S. army, having been commissioned in the medical department during the Spanish-American war as recruiting surgeon. He was instructor of genito-urinary diseases and syphilology in themedical deiiarlmeiit of the University of Illinois from 1S9.) to 189S, and of the same subjects in the post-grad-uate school froii} 19(12 to 1904. Dr. Rogers was appointed ilclcgate by the state of Illinois to the Association ofMilitary .burgeons of the United States at Detroil, Buffalo, Milwaukee, and Jamestown.
