Capt. Cathal O'Connor, Commander Amphibious Squadron 11, speaks with members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines aboard amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). The Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, are participating in the Amphibious Landing Exercise, which is an annual bilateral exercise held in conjunction with the AFP. Bonhomme Richard, commanded by Capt. Daniel Dusek, is the lead ship of the only forward-deployed amphibious ready group and is currently operating in the 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility.
