Five of its letters were done in gold,six in b:own, six in violet, and nine ingreen. Where the same monogram is to beengraved upon a number of articles—savspoons—the first one finished is taken andrubbed over with printing ink—that is, inkused for printing newspapers or after you have applied the ink to the monogram with theend of your finger and rubbed it well in, and then wiped off witha piece of damp paper (ladies curl paper is the thing), enoughink has remained in the cuts to mark the paper,
