The first case was that of a single woman of forty-seven, from whom an ex-tensive subperitoneal tumor was removed the size of a mans head. She died four months later, but it could not be ascertained whether she hada relapse. The tumor removed was a nnilocidar cyst, with a wall in one place 2centimeters thick, at which point the surface was covered with numerous sepa-rate papillaiy excrescences. On section the tissue appeared homogeneous withsome irregular cavities with a smooth wall. The tumor was made np of avascular connective tissue interpenetrated with round and spindle cells. Thepapillomata were purely adenomatous in form, delicately constructed andcovered with a simple cylindrical epithelium in a single layer, which also sentnumerous glandular extensions into the underlying tissue. There was no trace-able connection between the papillomata and the Fig. 415.—Adeno-caeoinoma (Colloid Caroinoma) of the Ovaky, with Numerous CarcinomatousNodules on the External Surface of the Unruptured Cysts ; Secondary Growths in No. 328. % Natural Size. In a rare case occurring in my own clinic a multilocular adeno-papillomawas found associated with sarcomatous nodules in the inner surface of one of thecysts. (See Dr. T. S. Cullen, Ainer.
