London, UK. 15th October 2016. London Action Network held a street stall in Hampstead and dropped a banner from Westminster Bridge warning against the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) being negotiated in secret between the EU and Canada which they claim poses a major threat to our democracy, public services and the environment. They say it would allow companies to sue governments who want to bring in legislation that might damage company profits, and stop green policies against climate change, affect workers rights, minimum wages, health and safety legislation and any actions that might stop privatisation of the NHS and other public services.
