Laman Padi Rice Museum - Langkawi is part of Kedah, a state known for being the highest producer of rice in Malaysia. Langkawi opened the venue as an exhibition center for rice related items including paddies attempting to be an eco tourism site. This complex is made up of rice fields. The 14 acre padi fields were designed to improve the quality and standard of the local farming community as well as to teach the public traditional agricultural techniques.
