This is one of the most popular of garden Lilies. The flowers are pure snow-white and very fragrant, borne on long stems. To succeed with it, it should be planted early in the autumn, so that it can make some growth before frost; give the bulbs a light dusting with powdered sulphur, and do not cover with more than 2 inches of soil; 3 to 4 feet; May and June.
