Dallas,USA,24 July 2018. Sr, CPL Earl "Jamie" Givens, a 32-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department died in the line of duty whilst escorting a funeral procession as a member of the Motorcycle Unit. Officer Givens was struck by a SUV. The driver was arrested for allegedly being under the influence of alcohol. Funeral services will be this coming Thursday at Prestonwood Baptist Church, Plano. Yet, another Dallas Police Officer has died in the line of duty. Officer Givens is the first officer of the Motorcycle Unit to die since the fatal crash of an Officer on the Huston Street Bridge Curve while escorting then, Presidential candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
