Paulo Borges and woman assistant inoculate leukemia into mice at Jackson Memorial Laboratory (now Jackson Laboratory Cancer Center) in Bar Harbor, Maine. As of 2014, the Laboratory is a National Cancer Institute designated Cancer Center and has NIH centers of excellence in aging and systems genetics.
