Utah, is ason of John Bennion and Mary Turpin,and was born in North Jordan, SaltLake county, Utah, Nov. 28, Be-ing raised on his fathers farm, he wasearly inured to hard work. His fatherdied when Heber was but eight years of age, and hence greater responsibili-ties fell upon his shoulders. He waseducated in the common schools, theB. Y. Academy, the L. D. S. College,the Agricultural College, the B. Y. Col-lege and in the Deseret 1882 to 1884 he filled a missionto the Northern States, laboring inMinnesota and Wisconsin. During thelatter part of this mission he presidedover the Minnesota conference. In Sep-tember, 1885, he married Susie Winters,. of Pleasant Grove, in the Logan Tem-ple. He left home for another missionin September, 1887, to the NorthernStated. On this mission he traveledquite extensively in Kansas, West Vir-ginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, andNew York. Most of the time heacted as president of the Penn-sylvania conference. In September,1889, he was chosen to be Bishopof Taylorsville, and he is efficientlyfilling that position at the present Bennion served as a member ofthe Territorial legislature in 1889, andserved two terms, in succession, in theState legislature. He is extensivelyf ngaged in farming and stock-raising. CRUMP, William C, Bishopof Bluff Dale Ward, Salt Lake county,l^tah, is a son of Wm. C. Crump andMargaret James, and was born March18, 1860, at Herriman, Salt Lake coun-ty; he was baptized when about eightyears old; received
