A German strong box, mid-18th century Rectangular body made from sheet iron with broad strap fittings. False keyhole on the front side with large escutcheon in relief. Hinged lid with central keyhole (the key is a replacement). On the inside mechanism with seven latches. Iron cover plate with coloured mounting, depiction of a bird sitting on a branch, flanked by trees. On the front side two hasps for padlocks. Two movable carrying handles on the sides.
