The strip shows a part of a symmetrical pattern, a piece of the pattern along the bottom is missing. The pattern is formed by two ribbons that run towards each other along the top of the strip. At the point where the two ribbons meet, they make a large S-shaped bend in the opposite direction, and then swing towards each other again along the underside.
