Capt. Amy Bauernschmidt, executive officer, USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), talks with crew members on the flight deck. Bauernschmidt is the first female in the Navy to serve as the executive officer aboard an aircraft carrier. Abraham Lincoln is in the final stages of a four-year Refueling and Complex Overhaul and will be delivered back to the fleet in early 2017.
