Hot Coffee for Invasion Boat Survivors. Wrapped in warm, dry clothing, these Army survivors drink hot coffee and munch sandwiches aboard a Coast Guard 83-foot rescue craft which pulled them out of channel waters off France when their landing craft foundered. Left to right, Gene Almquist, of Minneapolis; Eugene E. Gilmer, of Mile City, Mont.; and Joseph Cotton, of Redding, Pa. The cutter, which had the Army "dick" in tow at the time, is part of the now-famous Coast Guard Invasion Rescue Flotilla.
