The madrasah was built by the order and under the direct guidance of Timurid governor and great scientist Mirzo Ulugbek in 1417-1420. The main architect was Kavomiddin Sherozi. Samarkand, Uzbekistan. UNESCO World Heritage Site Registan historic center, the old heart of the city. It is the oldest building in Registan.
