Visitors to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens in New York at the World's Fair Festival indulge in Belgian Waffles
Visitors to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens in New York on Sunday May 18, 2014 at the World's Fair Festival indulge in Belgian Waffles from Wafels and Dinges food trucks. The sickly sweet concoction was introduced at the 1964 fair and was immensely popular. The festive event, which included belgian waffles, entertainment and nostalgia was held on the 75th and 50th anniversaries of the both the 1939 and 1964 Worlds Fairs. Both international events were at the Flushing Meadows park, a garbage dump prior to the 1939 fair. (© Richard B. Levine)
