In the show, each contestant was isolated in a remote location to compete for cash and prizes. “I am a big ‘Survivor’ fan,” said Barlow. “It’s nice to see people from back in the States showing they care about the troops.” Barlow was enjoying a brief respite from military commitments in Iraq while participating in the Central Command rest and recuperation pass program in Qatar.
