Resolved, That the Republican party of the nation,by its consistent and vigorous advocacy of equalcivil and political rights for all citizens of the re-public, by its faithful adherence to the pledges givento maintain the national credit unimpaired and thenational honor inviolate, and by its vigorous efforts. THE CAR ON THE ROPE. committing our national interests to the hands ofthe Democratic party, whicli is unable to point to asingle measure of public policy either inauguratedor supported by it as a party which would redoundto the honor of the republic or tend to promote thebest interests of the people.
