Flock of juvenile Common / Eurasian cranes (Grus grus) flying near electricity power lines over the Somerset Levels, UK.


This is the first flock of reintroduced birds released by the Great Crane Project on the Somerset Levels and Moors. Overhead cables are the biggest killer of Cranes in Europe and one of the first 20 birds released was killed in a collision with cables in its first winter.
