Carnations were so plentiful that the best brought only $ per hun- dred on Sunday morning. IVom the looks of the stock, there was a lot of pickling done by some of the growers. This stock was left on the hands of the wholesalers. There was an abundance of roses to be had at any time, and great quantities of all seasonable bulb stock. Easter lilies were fine and in greater quantity than the trade could handle. Violets did not look so well, but the market had plenty at all tiriies. In summing up the reports from all in the trade, it can safely be said that this Easter was as good as any, and in the sale of plants it was probably bet- ter than most Easters. Various Notes. Many of the Easter window displays were of the highest type. Among the gorgeous sights along Grand avenue were the windows of Waldbart, Ayres, the Metropolitan, Windier, Bergster- mann and Beyer. On the north side, Bentzen, MuUanphy and Huettemann had a raft of excellent plants, and business was great with all of them.
