The Büyük Han, or "Great Inn" in the Turkish sector of Nicosia (Lefkosa), Northern Cyprus. This is the largest caravansarai (roadside inn) in Cyrpus, and considered one of the finest buildings on the island. Built by the Ottomans in 1572 shortly after they seized the island from the Venetians. In the centre of the square courtyard is a small mosque, and around the edge rooms were made available to travellers. It is now one of the premiere tourist destinations in Nicosia.
