Vasili Ivanovich Bazhenov (March 1, 1737 or 1738 - August 2, 1799) was a famous Russian architect, graphic artist, architectural theorist, and teacher. He designed Pashkov House (currently Russian State Library) in Moscow. Bazhenov studied in Paris with Russian compatriot Starov, with whom he also visited Italy.
