Battle scene depicted in the marble relief from the Parthian Monument in Ephesus (now Selçuk, Turkey), now on display in the Ephesos Museum in Vienna, Austria. The campaign against the Parthians led by Emperor Lucius Verus in the 160s AD is depicted in the Roman marble relieves dated from the 2nd century AD. The wounded Parthian commander collapsed on his horse is depicted in the fragment.
