The distinguishing featureof Egyptian magic, was the union of occult with natural science,the connection of super-mundane with mundane Spiritism. Thespecialties of the Egyptian magician were patience, devotion andself-sacrifice, in the acquirement of occult knowledge; skill in itsuse, purity of life, fidelity to his calling, and educational cultureupreared on the foundation of natural gifts.
