Mrs. Charles Juengel reports that her son, Edwin, has left her employ to en- gage in other business. She has offered her store and greenhouse for sale. This is an old-established business. For the first time in the twenty-nine years of florists' club picnics, not a representative of Belleville, 111., was present at the picnic. Usually the whole family of Belleville florists are in at- tendance. Edwardsville and Collinsville also failed us. George Madsen and fam- ily, of Alton, and Edwin Denker, of St. Charles, were on hand. Kirkwood's rep- resentation was small compared with former years, but Messrs. Rowe, Pil- cher, Goebel, Edwards, Braun, Hauser, May, Wagner, Denys and De Wever, with their families, made the loss good. The east side was represented by Charles Haun and G. Menges. All were glad they came and those that failed us missed a good time. The florist bowlers held a meeting at the establishment of the Pieser Whole- sale Floral Co., July 25, and decided to use the Grand Arsenal alleys again the coming season. Six teams have already been selected, under the same conditions as last season. The seventh alley has also been engaged, for the use of the extras not bowling in teams and for visitors. The season is to begin Au- gust 30. The following bowlers have promised to make the trip to Kansas City and take part in the bowling tournament: O. Ruff, George K
