Hynangia sessile, immersed, linear, contiguous, occupying nearly the whole length of the venules, and covering the whole under surface of the fertile fronds; each consisting of two rows of numerous laterally and oppositely connate sporangia united into a concrete mass, forming linear synangia, each cell opening by a circular pore at their apices. 1.
