A recruitment poster from 1918 for the Bavarian Reichswehr. There were many of these paramilitary organisations that sprang up to meet the percieved threat of communism just after WW1. There were millions of demobilised soldiers only too willing to join these amateur armies and they were important sources of men for the nazi cause and the brownshirts. The text reads Defend yourself, protect yourself, wake up. Enlist in the Bavarian Reichswehr.
