Berlin Stitch. Work this stitch in a scollop,taking six threads straightdown. Much of the beauty ofit depends upon the contrastof colour (having an eye toharmony) in the threads. Theeffect should be ascertainedbefore beginning to 100 NETTING^ CROCHET, 8. Czar Stitch. We have heard this called EconomicStitch. It is worked over from six oreight threads in depth and two in width,crossed from right to left. Gold threadshould be interposed between each row. 7~ U\ Tg J 9. Irish Stitch. Four, six, or eight threads are to betaken straight,two threadsbeing left be-tween. The second row is to be begunfour threads up,between the two threadsleft on the former row; and in work-ing the third row, take care that thestitches meet the first row. This is a valuablestitch, easily worked into a variety of pretty forms.
