WASHINGTON (June 6, 2017) Retired Chief Gunner’s Mate Hank Kudzik admires the submarine exhibit in the National Museum of the United States Navy. Kudzik served aboard the submarine USS Nautilus (SS 168) at the Battle of Midway, which sank the Japanese aircraft carrier Soryu before operating off the Japanese coast. Kudzik completed 14 war patrols during his time on active duty before retiring.
