(Nov. 14, 2017) Senior Chief Gas Turbine Systems Technician Maurice Waller places the American Flag’s field of blue into the fire during an American Flag retirement ceremony held at the Naval Station Mayport Chief Petty Officer’s Club. The ceremony consists of flags that have become worn, torn, faded, or badly soiled getting the 13 stripes seperated from the field of blue and incinerating them separately in a respectful manner.
