A Spur Ride is the only means of joining the Order of the Spur, a cavalry tradition in the Army during which troops must pass a series of physical, mental and tactical tests relevant to the Cavalry. This event tested the Soldiers’ ability to use teamwork to accomplish a physically demanding task.
