The table chosenfor this service is of such a characterthat, at other than meal hours, itforms an entirely satisfactory readingtable. One disadvantage of utilizinga living room for the serving of mealslies in the inavoidable presence of asideboard which, unlike a table, can-not be put to dual use. Here, however,into one wall has been built a side-board, which neither absorbs usefulfloor area nor robs the room of its liv-ing room aspect. Thus, instead oftwo small separate rooms, neither ofwhich would be adequate in size for real comfort, we find one room
