One of 16 bridges across the Shimna River in Tollymore Forest Park, Northern Ireland


Established in 1955, Tollymore Forest Park is the first national forest park in Northern Ireland. It is located at Bryansford at the foot of the Mourne Mountains near the town of Newcastle . The park covers 1,600 acres and offers views of the surrounding mountains and the sea. The Shimna River flows through the park where it is crossed by 16 bridges, the earliest dating to 1726.
