This is the Easton & Washington TractionCompanys railway now in operation from Phillipsburg,directly opposite Easton, to Port Murray. Eventually itwill be extended to Lake Hopatcong and thus will secure Company, the actual western terminus of the system is inPhillipsburg, N. J., which is separated from Easton by theDelaware River. The latter, at this place, is only a fewhundred feet wide, and since it is spanned by severalbridges, the two towns form practically a single communi-ty with a population of practically 100,000.
