A circa 1905 printed photo of 'Whitby High Lights' (Hawsker Lighthouse), Yorkshire, UK. It was equipped with aloud fog horn, known locally as the Hawser Bull . the Mad Bull or the Bawling Bull. It warns ships not only of the cliffs and coastline but also of Whitby Rock, a norious wrecker of ships over the has now been converted into holiday cottages. The lighthouse designed by James Walker was opened in 1858 , originally on Ling Hill . and designed by James Walker
