Dixie Smokestack demolition. Lexington, NC. Lexington Home Brands Plant No. 1 smoke stack being domolished after fire destroyed the once prosperous manufacturing plant. The smokestack is on Norfolk-Southern right-of-way. The smokestak was a landmark and reminder to a once thriving furniture industry in the area and it was not practical to preserve.
