Several hundred cyclists rode from Tower Hill to Aldagete East tube station to the site where french student Philippine De Gerin-Ricard, 20was killed when she was run over by a lorry. The protesters demand that Mayor Boris Johnson provides a safer environment for cyclists in the city, and that so-called Cycling Superhighways are made much safer. The protest ended at Altab Ali Park in Whitechapel.
