Roadside sobriety test. Police officer watching a driver walk along a line in the road. She is suspected of drink driving. If the driver is unable to perform this task the police officer will use an electronic breathalyser to see if she is over the drink-drive limit. The legal blood alcohol consumption (BAC) limit in the UK is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millimetres of blood or 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millimetres of breath (Road Traffic Act 1988).
