Such an instrumentis peculiarly advantageous in paring the surface of deep-seated cavities. Whenthe. ligaments and cartilages are involved, the operation can hardly be completedin a satisfactory manner without a pair of blunt-pointed scissors, with long, thick,narrow blades.
