Statue of The Maca outside the town hall in Wavre, Belgium


The statue of the Maca was sculpted in 1962 by the eminent artist and sculptor Jean Godart and is located just outside the town hall. It represents a small boy who tries to climb the wall of the city hall and tradition has it that touching the Maca's buttocks brings a year of luck.
