Police Service of Northern Ireland perpare to close down Andersonstown Police Station. Fews from Inside Watchtower


Police Officers from the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) begin to close down PSNI Station Andersonstown, in west Belfast, Northern Ireland. The police station was famous for its fort style design which housed a watch tower over looking the Falls Road, Andersonstown Road and Glen Road's of West Belfast. Areas close by where the Falls Road Bus depot and Milltown Cemetery. The Station came under many Bomb attacks during the "troubles" by the IRA (Irish Republican Army). Due to the Northern Ireland Peace Process the Police station was closed down and demolished. These rare images show what life was like inside this once fort style Police Station.
