I was quite angrywith the audience for being so foolish last went to the Ticknors last night, and our talkfell on the Ms. H. and B.; and I mentioned howthe latter had introduced me to a family at NewYork—a family of the name of Baxter, and thegirls began such a laughter! They were on theother side of Lake George, it appears, last year,and he used to go over and pour out his soul tothem about Miss Baxter. The report was thathe was going to be married to her. Is he?
