Llanbedr airfield (ICAO code EGOD) lies on the Cardigan bay coast of Gwynedd next to the Snowdonia National Park. The airfield was used as a war time airfield, as part of fighter command's 12 Group and then as a trials establishment run by the Royal Aircraft Establishment - more recently QinetiQ. It is now owned by the Welsh Government & leased to Llanbedr Airfield Estates. It is a candidate site for the UK Spaceport.
