This is a beautiful, high quality art piece of a detail from a large yellow amaranthus plant. It measures in x in. The large, pendulous petals are gloriously hued in shades of yellow and are contrasted by the green foliage in the background. This is a bright, eye-catching piece. Yellow is the brightest color of the visible spectrum, and it is the most noticeable of all colors by the human eye. It signifies happiness and optimism. It is the color of high energy, enthusiasm, hope, fun, and cheerfulness. When I moved from the cold, long winters of Washington, DC to the never-ending summer of South Florida, I found my love for growing flowers just kept expanding. Growing and nurturing flowers gives me a sense of calm and fulfillment in a world that is sometimes chaotic. In my digital artwork, I try to find a way to convey that sense to the observer in a timeless image.
