The river Sora runs through the city centre of Medvode after major flooding hit the country. Heavy continuous torrential rain and storms have caused major flooding all throughout Slovenia in the first part of the forecasted severe weather event. Roads and railroads were closed, several areas had no electricity or drinking water, and fatalities were reported.
