This species is not conmionin England ; but it has been found on oak trees in Rag-ley Park near Alcester, at Himley near Dudley, andin Rockingham Forest. It is of a cinnamon colourwhen young, and whitish when old, changing, whenbruised, to a reddish brown. When fresh, it distils drops of moisture.
