The Alhambra Cinema in the Cumbrian market town of Keswick. Built in 1913 and opened on 22nd January 1914, it has been in operation for over 100 years, one of only a very few in the UK to be able to make that claim. Like many cinemas it has had an up and down life but has always managed to escape closure due to a number of enthusiast owners and staff. In recent years Crowd Funding has helped restore it to its former glory.
